About the role
167 Solutions is supporting a directly regulated family office with the appointment of a Commercial Insurance Broker. The organisation has strong longevity in the market, trusted professional relationships and a healthy pipeline of commercial clients requiring responsive, technically sound insurance advice.
You will manage new and existing commercial relationships, understand complex business risks and place appropriate cover across a broad insurer panel. The role combines client service, technical broking and business development within an established, collaborative environment.
This is a salaried permanent opportunity offering £40,000 to £50,000 plus commission, with the support and cross-referral potential of a wider family office proposition.
Key responsibilities
Gather and analyse risk information, prepare market presentations and negotiate terms with insurers.
Advise on appropriate commercial covers including property, liability, professional indemnity, directors and officers, cyber, fleet and commercial combined.
Develop new business from the firm's healthy pipeline, introducer network and wider family office relationships.
Produce clear quote comparisons, recommendations and compliant client documentation.
Manage renewals proactively and identify changes in risk, claims experience and coverage needs.
Build strong working relationships with clients, insurers, underwriters and professional partners.
Maintain accurate CRM, compliance and audit records throughout the client lifecycle.
Deliver strong customer outcomes in line with FCA expectations and Consumer Duty.
What they're looking for
Strong knowledge of core commercial insurance products and insurer markets.
Experience managing renewals, new business, market submissions and insurer negotiations.
Confident client-facing communication and relationship-development skills.
Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and convert appropriate opportunities.
Strong attention to detail, organisation and ownership of client servicing.
Understanding of FCA requirements, Consumer Duty and compliant sales processes.
Cert CII or progress towards a relevant insurance qualification is desirable.
