About the role

167 Solutions is supporting a directly regulated family office with the appointment of an experienced Independent Mortgage Adviser / Broker. The business has strong longevity in the market, an established professional network and a healthy pipeline of clients requiring high-quality mortgage advice.

This opportunity suits a commercially minded adviser who values independence but also wants the backing of a credible, relationship-led organisation. You will advise a broad client base on residential, remortgage, buy-to-let and more complex lending requirements while developing lasting relationships across the wider family office network.

You will have access to an existing pipeline, professional introducers and operational support, while retaining the autonomy to manage your clients and grow your earnings.

Key responsibilities

Provide compliant, whole-of-market mortgage advice from initial enquiry through to completion.
Assess client circumstances, affordability, objectives and suitable lending options.
Manage residential purchase, remortgage, buy-to-let and more complex mortgage cases.
Build trusted long-term relationships with clients, introducers, lenders and professional partners.
Maintain accurate fact finds, suitability records, case notes and supporting documentation.
Work closely with administration and case-management support to progress applications efficiently.
Identify appropriate protection and wider financial-planning referral opportunities.
Deliver consistently strong client outcomes in line with FCA expectations and Consumer Duty.

What they're looking for

Current UK mortgage advice qualification, such as CeMAP or an equivalent recognised qualification.
Proven experience advising clients on regulated mortgage products.
Strong understanding of whole-of-market mortgage research, affordability and lender criteria.
A demonstrable record of compliant advice and positive customer outcomes.
Confident relationship-building and business-development skills.
Strong organisation, communication and case-management capability.
Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative family office environment.
Existing client or introducer relationships are beneficial but not essential due to the available pipeline.

Benefits

Established and healthy client pipeline.
Competitive self-employed commission structure with indicative earnings potential of £50,000 to £100,000, dependent on performance.
Directly regulated environment with established compliance and operational support.
Access to professional introducers and wider family office opportunities.
Flexible UK hybrid working.
Long-term opportunity within a credible business with strong market longevity.
